After some technical difficulties, we now return you to our show
We had recorded all the sessions in the Startlight “A” room at Social Media Camp, and they’re just coming online now.
See the Morning Panels and Afternoon Panels posts where we’ll be adding videos as they become available.
Social Media Camp Wrap-up Post – What did we learn?
Social Media Camp NY 2011 was filled with opportunities to learn, and many people took advantage of that. This post will continue to be updated as we get more blog posts and videos posted from the day. Videos from the Starlight room are being compressed for upload as we write this. Stay tuned.
The entire schedule of events was also highly tweeted on hashtag #smcampny. Hopefully, TwapperKeeper.com will have an archive here, eventually.
You can learn about our morning sessions. Also our Afternoon Sessions reviews and videos are posted.
UPDATE: Rhonda Hurwitz wrote a nice summary post of 3 Social Media Camp NY sessions. And Mary Ann Halford did a Return to Social Media Camp post with a good analysis of the session with Tessa Horehled and Paul Michaud, SVP of Social Media for Citi .
We will also continue to post any slide presentations that are shared with us, and will link to any of the blog posts that are written. Thanks again to our sponsors Inc.com, Roger Smith Hotel and Freshbooks.com for their support of Social Media Camp NY 2011.
Social Media Camp Afternoon Panels
After lunch we continued in the Winthrop room with a panel on Social Media for Small Business.
Social Media Camp Morning Panels
The morning kicked off with David Berkowitz and Saul Colt doing 20 minute intros in the Winthrop Room. Janet Sullivan of JKS WebDesign captured Saul’s talk in Five Ways to Market Without Spending Money Using Social Media .
Thank you from Social Media Camp
Events like Social Media Camp don’t happen by accident. This post (which will be continually updated) is intended to thank many people who are contributing to this event.
Of course, camp would not have happened without David Parmet, and his work as my co-Camp Director.
Chris Kieff of 1 Good Reason for setting up the speaking schedule.
Larry Aronson for WordPress and website support for this event.
Dean Meyers for Graphic support on the website, and graphic facilitation throughout the day.
Danielle Culmone Simon for SMC NYC Business Development and Sponsorship help.
Cecilia Pineda Feret, Veronique Vereschure and the rest of the volunteers for making all the things happen that got people in, registered, to their places, and made things run well.
Mike Hoffman and Inc.com for supporting the event at the highest level,
Saul Colt of
Freshbooks for their sponsorship as well.

And We Are Live

Social Media Camp NY is live! You can follow the action on Ustream here.
We have a second channel during part of the day, here.
You can also follow us on Twitter and follow us on the blogs.
Social Media Camp is (mostly) Full
We’ve released tickets to the waiting list. If you were on the waiting list, please check your email. On Tuesday morning we’ll release the last few pre-sale tickets, and start filling another waiting list.
UPDATE: We are Full.
We may have a few walk-in tickets available, but it will depend on how full our rooms are when you get there. We don’t want to turn people away, but we are constrained by how many people we can fit at the venue. Thanks for understanding. – The SMCampNY team
Social Media Camp Bonus Items!
Great News. After the day’s events, all paid Social Media Camp attendees can join us for Wine, Beer, Soda and in-person networking and socializing in the Starlight Ballroom, courtesy of our sponsor, Inc.com. This is a one-hour open tab. After that, we’ll see about running it longer at a very reasonable cost-per-beverage thanks to Roger Smith hotel.
We’ll also have copies of the latest issue of Inc. for all attendees until supplies run out.
SMCamp Speaker Carol Roth has invited anyone who wants to continue to socialize to join her at the BrightRize event at District 36 Night Club (28 West 36th Street – Between 5th and 6th Avenues in New York City) until 9:30 at night. The event includes a fashion show, food, networking and a swag bag too with a copy of her book The Entrepreneur Equation. You can learn more at http://www.wix.com/rawinter/consulting/event or register here for $35. (Or mention Social Media Camp at the door).
Welcome Sponsors!
Thanks to Freshbooks for being our first Bronze-level sponsor for Social Media camp.
The Roger Smith Hotel, our hosts for Social Media Camp, are also sponsoring.
And welcome to Platinum sponsor Inc.com! Thanks to Inc., we’ll be able to have some time for drinks and networking after the event! Stay tuned for details!
